Fulfilling their ethical obligation to protect the Kingdom’s environment, the Movenpick Resort and Spa Dead Sea’s staff took part in the Keep Jordan Clean campaign.
Through the campaign and initiated as part of the hotel’s Corporate Social Responsibility, the hotel’s staff helped cleaning the Dead Sea area from litter.
Michael Nugent, Movenpick Hotels and Resorts-Jordan Regional Director, said: “The campaign is a great initiative that goes a long way, besides instilling the value of volunteering in our people, it also helps keep the Kingdom clean, particularly areas that are frequented by tourists and visitors.”
“We believe in the importance of corporate citizenship activities and giving back to society. Furthermore, we at the Movenpick place much emphasis on eco-friendly activities and aim to raise environmental awareness among our staff and the community we operate in,” he added.
Not only did the hotel’s staff help in picking up litter, but they also distributed water and beverage to all participants.
The Movenpick Resort and Spa Dead Sea continuously adopt policies that help protecting the environment, including its reliance on solar system for heating, as well as preserving water, recycling and managing waste. The hotel takes special pride in its partnership with Green Globe, which is a structured assessment of the sustainability performance of travel and tourism businesses.
